Our staff consists of mature and experienced engineers and geologists.

Robert Alperstein is a licensed Professional Engineer in six states. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a specialty in Soil Mechanics. He presents over 45 years' experience in the practice of Geotechnical Engineering, mostly on major projects in the Northeast, Midwest, Canada and the Caribbean. His project experience includes heavy industrial complexes, commercial and high rise building foundations, marinas and waterfront construction, retaining structures, transportation facilities (highways, people movers, pipelines), dams, embankments on soft ground and soil and rock slope stabilization. He is a member of professional societies and has published over a dozen professional papers relating to the practical aspects of Geotechnical Engineering.

Walter J. Papp Jr. is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey with a specialty in Geotechnical Engineering.  He presents more than 10 years Geotechnical Engineering experience with Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers and Soiltek Inc. within the New York Metropolitan Area as well as in Arkansas, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.  His project experience includes commercial and high rise buildings, retaining structures, groundwater control, grouting, underdrain systems, waterproofing, underpinning, drilled foundation elements, soil and rock slope stability, and instrumentation. He provides practical solutions to field related foundation problems and has significant geotechnical laboratory testing experience.   He is a member of professional societies and has published several professional papers relating to Geotechnical Engineering.

Nidal M. AbiSaab is a licensed Professional Engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Lebanese American University and a Master of Science degree from The Johns Hopkins University with a specialty in Geotechnical Engineering. He presents more than 6 years of Geotechnical experience in the United States and abroad. His project experience includes design, numerical modeling, controlled inspections, soil testing, and instrumentation.

Roy E. Hunt is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states and a Certified Professional Geologist in three states and Brazil. He holds a B.S. degree in Geology & Physics from Upsala College and an M.A. degree in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from Columbia University. He presents over 45 years' experience in Geological and Geotechnical Engineering in the Northeast United States, South America and Southeast Asia. His expertise includes: evaluation of stability of natural and cut rock slopes; interpretation of remotely sensed imagery for the development of engineering geology, hazard and risk maps; evaluation and design of retaining structures, dams and foundations. He is a member of professional societies and has published two award winning books related to geotechnical engineering practice.

Joseph D. Chastanet is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states. He holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of London and an M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He presents over 45 years' experience in geotechnical engineering on a variety of projects.
