 Robert Alperstein, P.E. founded the firm in 1991 as RA Consultants, after providing geotechnical engineering services as
a member of major consulting firms for over 27 years. These 45+ years of experience have spanned the spectrum of geotechnical engineering on projects ranging in size from small to multi-billion dollars in construction cost.

Walter J. Papp Jr., P.E. joined the firm in 2007 and became a partner in 2008.  He presents more than 12 years Geotechnical Engineering experience within the New York Metropolitan Area as well as in Arkansas, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.  His 12+ years of design and field experience provides practical and innovative solutions to design and field related foundation and support of excavation problems.

RA Consultants, LLC project experience has been mainly in the New York Metropolitan Area and in the Caribbean. However, we have undertaken assignments in North Carolina, Ohio, and Nova Scotia.

Our technical staff (including Mr. Alperstein) consists of four geotechnical engineers and an engineering geologist, with experience ranging from 5 to over 45 years. Utilizing PC's and our experience, we complete our assignments cost effectively and within schedule without relying on junior level personnel and layered management.
